The RAIDON SAS backup data storage solution is a JBOD system that uses SAS (Serial Attached SCSI), the latest generation of SCSI technology. Designed for enterprise users that require stable, high performance and reliable storage devices, it provides a longer service life while maintaining the same level of stability and reliable performance as traditional SCSI technology.

The next incarnation of SCSI technology represented by SAS allows freedom from daisy-chained devices like in past SCSI setups. They are now linked individually through independent SAS or Infiniband cables to the SCSI card. Now when one device malfunctions the rest of the storage system can continue to operate normally, removing the restrictions associated with using a single link.
